If you would like to apply for a second passport for business purposes, you must provide evidence to support your application. It is necessary to provide the same documents required for a standard passport application.
In addition, you must submit a letter on headed paper from the Head of your Company or your Human Resources Department outlining why you require a second passport. The letter should detail your position and length of service with the company, and certify your travel commitments i.e. include a detailed list of projected business travel for the coming months to countries where visas are required. This letter should be supported by company registration certificate. The company tax compliance certificate may also be requested. Please note that this letter must be in English.
If you require a second passport to facilitate visa applications you should provide evidence that demonstrates your passport was held for regular periods of time at Embassies while waiting to obtain a visa.
When sending your application, you must also submit your current/expired personal passport and your current/expired business passport (if applicable). These may be returned to you upon registration, providing you submit a stamped self-addressed envelope and a note requesting their return.
Second passports for business purposes are issued with restricted periods of validity, up to a maximum validity of three years.
Please notethat the renewal of a Business Passport is not automatic. Further Information, including a tax compliance certificate, may be requested where deemed necessary.
All applications for business passports are reviewed by the Passport Officer and extra time must be permitted to process such an application.
